The trees talk back - you said?

We chopped 'em down like there's no tomorrow
they didn't seem to care
as they fell one by one
and fewer and fewer were left

Some of us grew concerned
like aren't we supposed to do something about it
I mean, give me a break
have you no idea what the trees

you think they need your help?
I mean, go ahead and help if that's what feels right
but don't for a moment think it matters

what you're doing

So the trees start talking back and we find the landscape completely unrecognisable. The holocaust complete, we work with them to restore the earth to its natural state.

Try tuning in if you're interested. Don't imagine the tree's a thing that you can understand. Just feel the earth below, the sky overhead and sense how the tree links the two the same way you do, only on a grander scale.
